The local amateur radio club for Washington County, Payette County and parts of Gem County, Idaho and parts of Malheur County, Oregon, is the TVRA.  Some of the members of this club are active in the Washington County RACES/ARES program which is a part of the ARRL Idaho Section which is led by W7DVR.  Our group is currently serving the Washington County Disaster Services Manager and in this service we maintain and operate an emergency operations station which includes a 27 foot vertical antenna for a MICOM 2es HF radio, an Inverted Vee dipole type antenna for 80-6 meter service for an Icom IC-756 PROII radio and an Icom 2100H VHF FM radio.  This station is equipped with emergency power generator and uses a computer interfaced with a RigBlaster to provide RTTY and other digital mode service.

At the present time, Payette County, Gem County, and Malheur County are not served by our TVRA RACES/ARES members, but we do stand ready and available to assist if asked in areas that we can.
